The Heritage Foundation has recently put forward a report bagging on a Senate immigration bill that would legalize the United States’ 11 million unauthorized immigrants and bring in more foreign workers on work visas. The report from the GOP backed “think tank” predicts a $6.3 trillion economic loss for the nation if immigration reform is passed. Obviously, allowing more workers with brown skin into the U.S. frightens the GOP to no end as their outreach program to minorities has been a dismal failure and this report hopes to frighten people into opposing any reform.
What caught my eye was a doctoral dissertation by one of the co-authors of this report. Jason Richwine, who received his doctorate in public policy from Harvard in 2009, wrote in his dissertation “IQ and Immigration Policy” that immigrants in the U.S. have lower IQs than native white Americans, and that difference “is likely to persist over several generations.”
“The average IQ of immigrants in the United States is substantially lower than that of the white native population, and the difference is likely to persist over several generations.”
“The consequences are a lack of socioeconomic assimilation among low-IQ immigrant groups, more underclass behavior, less social trust, and an increase in the proportion of unskilled workers in the American labor market,” he writes. “Selecting high-IQ immigrants would ameliorate these problems in the U.S., while at the same time benefiting smart potential immigrants who lack educational access in their home countries.”
No one knows whether Hispanics will ever reach IQ parity with whites, but the prediction that new Hispanic immigrants will have low-IQ children and grandchildren is difficult to argue against.
This is the guy that the most powerful Republican research organization in America decided should co-author their report on how immigration would kill the economy. Truly a non-biased opinion in most Republican eyes.

Republicans are Racists 
I will admit that the way he said that does should racist. I have read a few independent studies that do show that the average IQ in most Latin American countries are lower then those in the US but it usually do to the fact the schools are not as good or some kids just not going to schools. I’m not sure if that was what he meant or not but he did sound racist.
Really? You think he meant it in a none racist context? How would you get to that conclusion? Did he include any context regarding educational access or cultural factors? I will never argue that there isn’t racism in the democratic party as a black woman I point incidents out all the time. I think the difference is. Many dems are willing to confront it. The GOP is openly using racism as party strategy and then acting as if they aren’t.

The problem is the use of test based in a determinate culture or “scientific” skills which works in that environment but not in other. If you go to an isolated indigenous community in Latin America with your USA test for sure they obtain low qualifications, but those people have the intelligence to survive in their hard world, I dare any “high IQ” to do that. It’s the epistemological colonization, very common in USA: thing are appreciated by my culture and my point of view ant later affirm it as “Universal truth”. Even “libreals” there are submerged in that kind of thinking. By the way, studies say average chinese kids in elementary school easily surpass american student of higher grades, maybe they can say some similar to Mr. Richwine…

Initially, the reported lower IQ of immigrant unskilled workers may be lower than the average IQ of any group in the United States when they first arrive. To extend that assumption to the next generations is a false assumption. The opportunities for higher learning in this country should increase their IQ, so long as they have the opportunity to learn and take advantage of it. What is sad, is when people do not take advantage of their opportunities and squander their future.

Actions liberals have taken to uplift minorities include, but are not limited to: Affirmative action; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Voting Rights Act of 1965; desegregation of public facilities; passage of the First, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the Constitution; desegregation of the armed forces under Truman; and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, not to mention the economic benefits rendered by liberal policy (literally every economic downturn in U.S. history can be traced directly back to conservative policy and actions, from the Panics of the 1800s, to the Great Depression, to the “Great Recession,” and every effective solution to those downturns was a result of liberal actions, i.e. the New Deal, the Great Society Programs, Clinton’s actions to revive the economy after Bush Sr. totaled it, Obama’s actions to revive the economy after Bush Jr. totaled it, etc.).

Well, keep crying racism all you want, and keep voting for the Democrats. Because they are doing so much for minorities. The real question is, how do their policies affect minorities? Do welfare programs really do blacks a service by creating government dependency? Will granting amnesty to 11 million illegal aliens help blacks and their high unemployment rate? Under Obama, the unemployment rate for blacks has RISEN at a higher rate than whites. Their median income has decreased at twice the rate of whites. The 10 poorest cities in America have long been run by democrats. The fact of the matter is, by falling for the media’s racism propaganda campaign, blacks and other minorities are worse off in life.
Although there are certainly racists on the right, the left has their fair share as well. I support the Tea Party. The thing about race is, we just don’t care what color you are. It’s not my job to make you feel good about yourself. Slavery is over. Equal opportunity is there for the taking. The overall health of our country trumps any fabricated accusations of racism against me.
