  • Trump's 2027 Refugee Plan Gives Priority to White South Africans.

    Trump's administration proposes up to 17,500 refugee admissions for fiscal year 2027, primarily for white South African Afrikaners. His signed decision added 10,000 places for Afrikaners in fiscal year 2026. Global Refuge reported on September 22 that all but three of the 12,904 refugees admitted that year as of its statement came from South Africa. The preference has a paper trail.

  • The Education Department Found a Way to End School Discrimination: Stop Counting It

    This summer the Education Department rescinded the rule that let it spot discrimination by comparing racial outcomes. Its new guidance says schools can't consider race when writing discipline policy, even when one group is suspended far more than the rest. Meanwhile the Justice Department has closed more than 50 school desegregation cases. In one Louisiana parish, the transfers stopped almost as soon as the order did.

    At the Republican convention on September 10, Sen. Ted Cruz told the crowd that when Abdul El-Sayed, Michigan's Muslim Democratic Senate nominee, says he has an "obligation" to comply with Sharia law, "he means it." The quote was about a mortgage, from 2009. After Cruz named each of three Democrats, people in the crowd shouted "He should be shot!" Cruz's office didn't respond.

  • JD Vance Told the Convention He's Tired of Being Called Racist for "Noticing"

    On September 10, in Dallas, the Vice President of the United States stood at the Republican convention and said: "We were tired of being called racists for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer and less safe and less prosperous."     In June the Supreme Court held 6-3 that the law forbids courts from reviewing why the government ends Temporary Protected Status.     Tennessee's only majority-Black congressional district was 61.1 percent Black. In May the legislature repealed its own 54-year ban on mid-decade redistricting and cut Memphis into three pieces that came out 27, 28 and 32 percent. On July 23 a federal panel found the plaintiffs "lack any direct evidence of racial motivation," and then, in footnote 3, described the doctrine as a game in which the majority party "coaches its legislators to stay quiet."   • The Civil Rights Agency Is Now Running Recruitment Ads for Aggrieved White Men

    The EEOC exists because of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Its chair is now posting recruitment videos asking white men to file discrimination claims and "recover money," the Vice President is boosting them, and the same commission has voted to stop collecting the workforce data that measures discrimination in the first place.   • A Congressman Called Them "Racist Thugs" With $240 Billion. We Checked Every Word.

    Rep. Chuy García put fourteen seconds of fury on Facebook: $240 billion for "racist thugs to terrorize and kill people on our streets," and nothing for healthcare or housing. Strong words invite checking, so we checked every one.     Rep. Nancy Mace's resolution would dissolve the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, which she calls "federally sanctioned segregation." Her own press release also names more than a dozen congressional staff associations from both parties, including the Greek American and Italian American ones, whose members are white.
