  • Republican County Commissioner Says He Isn’t a Racist Because He Has a Black Friend

Here we go again. Another old, white Republican elected official forgets that he's not among his cronies and utters another racist comment on the record. Republican Saline County Commissioner Jim Gile used the term "nigger-rigging" during a commission discussion about hiring an architect to work on a county building. County residents immediately started calling for his resignation which forced Mr. Gile to apologize. The Salina Journal, a local newspaper, reported the incident like this: In…

  • Republican Congressman Used to Hire 50 to 60 "Wetbacks" to Pick Tomatoes

With it's recent "autopsy" and declarations of the necessity to re-brand itself to a more diverse set of voters, the Republican Party is just days into their campaign to put lipstick on their pig. They have no desire to change their positions on any of the policies that lost them the 2012 election, but they do want to stop saying what they think when other people can hear what they are saying. • Governor Chris Christie Calls for a Referendum on Civil Rights

Chris Christie Psycho Talk About Civil Rights This one speaks for itself. The Governor says people would have rather voted on Civil Rights than fight for them in the 60's... But he has forgotten one thing... The people who were demanding their civil rights couldn't vote. You can't vote for your civil rights when you don't have civil rights. This just goes to show that even when one spends months convincing you that he is…

  • Jan Brewer gives President Obama the Finger... Sort of.

Jan Brewer, the Governor of Arizona, met President Obama at the airport as he landed in her state for a visit on January 25th.  Governor Brewer describes a meeting with the President in her book, Scorpions for Breakfast, in a way that the President disputes.  She described him as condescending and he claims that the meeting was cordial.  This was apparently brought up on the tarmac and the photo above was snapped by reporters watching the exchange. “The governor…
