When you have to interrupt your own diatribe to ask “was there anything racial about that?” then there probably was some racist content in there. What’s sad is how often that Rush has to ask that very question on his own show.

Juan Williams is a top journalist in his field and has a long and respected career. I don’t always agree with the guy but I do respect him. What saddens me is how much grief he has received since he had the nerve to ask Newt Gingrich if he could see how saying that poor blacks should ask for a job and not a handout could upset black people. Not only was he booed, he’s caught hell from his own home team at Fox News and now from the defacto leader of the Republican Party… Rush Limbaugh.

This is nothing new for Rush Limbaugh and he continues to be the poster child for why Republicans are Racists.

Eric Bolling on Fox News thinks Conservative Women are Hotter than Liberals

So Eric Bolling is TV Trolling this conversation about a recent study that shows that less educated people tend to be conservatives and manages to derail the conversation by making one very important point: Conservative chicks are hotter than liberals.

First, any sane person knows that this is basically subjective but it’s Bolling’s examples that are sweet. He points out some of what he thinks are unattractive women like Oprah Winfrey, Joy Behar, Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg. Notice the two minority women he tosses in with the two overweight white ladies. He then points out his smokin’ hot conservatives… All are skinny, blonde bimbos who just happen to work at Fox News.

I usually stick to the blatant racism in these clips when I post and this one is subtle in that aspect. It does, however, show a trait that tends to go hand-in-hand with racism and helps expose that Republicans are Chauvinists too.

That’s right.  That finger that Jan Brewer threw in the President’s face wasn’t racist (although I did point out that it was rude) and President Obama should call out the “Black Mafia” in the media that said it was!  Sweet!  As a white dude with a blog (media!) being called a part of the “Black Mafia” by an african-american is about the sweetest street cred that I can garner.

Governor Brewer’s finger may not have been involved in a hate crime but this doesn’t change the opinion that I share with my brothers in the “Black Mafia”…  We still believe that Republicans are racists.

This one speaks for itself. The Governor says people would have rather voted on Civil Rights than fight for them in the 60’s… But he has forgotten one thing… The people who were demanding their civil rights couldn’t vote. You can’t vote for your civil rights when you don’t have civil rights.

This just goes to show that even when one spends months convincing you that he is sane… Republicans are Racists.

Newt Gingrich Sticks to His Racist Guns

Why not refer to him as “boy,” Newt? Mr. Williams uses Gingrich’s highest title (Mr. Speaker) to ask the question about Newt referring to the President as “the Foodtstamp President” and Gingrich responds with a snarky “Juan…” Juan Williams had a legitimate question which he asked on Martin Luther King Day and this is the response he got. Both the crowd and Newt showed their disgusting colors.

As it turns out, George W. Bush actually put more Americans on Foodstamps than President Obama. Ooops! Kinda ruins your point, Newt!

Gingrich and South Carolina just continue to show that… Republicans are racist.

Tea Party

The Tennessee Tea Party wants to edit Slavery out of our History.

Most people might think this is a joke but, sadly, it’s not.  The Tennessee Tea Party is making a push to further edit our history in order to prevent teaching schoolchildren about subjects that the Tea Party feels puts a bad light on America’s founding fathers.  This means sweeping changes to how slavery at the time of the founding of our country was handled and addressed by those who organized our democracy.

The group called for textbook selection criteria to include: “No portrayal of minority experience in the history which actually occurred shall obscure the experience or contributions of the Founding Fathers, or the majority of citizens, including those who reached positions of leadership.”  That’s right.  If your minority experience would reflect negatively on John Adams or George Washington, it should not be shared with our children.  Today’s student apparently only needs to know that our white founding fathers were good Christians who never made a lapse in judgement…  You know…  Like Jesus.

And for those who think this sounds familiar, it certainly should.  The same group is behind the 2011 Texas schoolbook whitewashing.

Call me unpatriotic but if your love for your country is only based on viewing Thomas Jefferson as a demi-god and that he is without fault or sin, then you have moved into religion and way out of the bounds of patriotism.  Our founding fathers were humans that made mistakes and hiding those mistakes from future generations only opens up the possibility of repeating those mistakes tomorrow.

There is only one reason that you would want to purposefully alter the negative racial history of your forefathers…  You guessed it…  Tea Party Republicans are racists.

Jan Brewer, the Governor of Arizona, met President Obama at the airport as he landed in her state for a visit on January 25th.  Governor Brewer describes a meeting with the President in her book, Scorpions for Breakfast, in a way that the President disputes.  She described him as condescending and he claims that the meeting was cordial.  This was apparently brought up on the tarmac and the photo above was snapped by reporters watching the exchange.

“The governor handed the president a letter and said she was inviting him to meet with her. The president said he’d be glad to meet with her again, but did note that after their last meeting, a cordial discussion in the Oval Office, the governor inaccurately described the meeting in her book,” a White House official reportedly said.

“I felt a little bit like i was being lectured to, and I was a little kid in a classroom, if you will, and he was this wise professor and I was this little kid, and this little kid knows what the problem is and I felt minimized to say the least,” she said, according to CBS.

The right-wing blogoshphere has erupted in her defense but what if the photo was reversed?  If the President had his finger in her face?  How do you think that would go over?  Exactly.

Republicans are Racists…  Or, at the least, they’re rude.
