In an email sent in June to Republican Party cronies, right-wing Albuquerque attorney Patrick Rogers expressed his anger with New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez due to her meeting with Native American tribal leaders from across the state. Apparently not someone who chooses to pick on an ethnic group the size of his own, Mr. Rogers stated that “[t]he state is going to hell” and that the Governor’s meeting “dishonored Col. Custer.”

That’s right.  We’re going to fight Little Bighorn again… And this time the Europeans have an even bigger advantage.  Native American populations continue to shrink and for some members of the GOP, it’s still not enough.  Next they will be calling for an invasion of Indian reservations and a completion of our domination of the Native inhabitants of North America.

After the email was publicized, hundreds of people wrote letters to the Republican Party of New Mexico as well as to Rogers’ law firm, Modrall Sperling in Albuquerque.  On August 31st, a group called ANSWER NM (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) staged a protest against Mr. Roger’s comments. Shortly before the ANSWER NM picket line began, Modrall Sperling announced that Rogers had submitted his resignation and was leaving the firm.

In a statement, Governor Martinez said she deplored the racist remarks but said that she “forgives” Rogers and that he should be allowed to retain his position in the New Mexico Republican Party. She did not demand that Rogers apologize to the thousands of Native Americans and others that he offended.

This story won’t get even a blip on the national radar so I thought that it was worth a mention here.  If you think a meeting with tribal leaders is an affront to Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer and our national pride, then you have forgotten the story of the Indian Nations…  And you are one Republican who is Racist.

Republicans Kicked Out Of The Republican National Convention

CNN first brok this story and it has since been confirmed by RNC officials.  Apparently, two attendees got the boot for tossing peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman while shouting “This is how we feed animals!”  The two were asked to leave by security.

Now is about the time  when the GOP Powered Media steps in and demands proof.  This is the same response they had to members of the Black Congressional Caucus being spit upon outside of the Capitol during the signing of the Affordable Care Act.  Deny, deny, deny and then claim that the people pointing out the racism are actually the racists.  The fact is that a couple of GOP rowdies got drunk and spoke out loud what so many others in that audience were only thinking.

Catch the speech by Condoleeza Rice last night?  My favorite part was how they kept showing close-ups of one black audience member and then they would pan out to show how he was alone in a sea of white people.  I know they wanted to highlight diversity at their convention but all they really did was illustrate one point…  Republicans are Racists.

Hurricane Bears Down on NOLA: Rush Makes a Suggestion

Here we go again.  The defacto leader of the Republican Party has a new plan for killing “Democrats” (read: poor, black citizens) in New Orleans.  Alas, no action was taken and the levees held but Republicans can keep their fingers crossed that another storm will visit Louisiana this season and maybe they will be able to get this plan in place.

Here’s a transcript for those that can’t stand to listen to Rush’s voice.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: Okay, folks, it’s a moment of truth. We are mere hours away now from Tropical Storm Isaac, which everybody is desperately hoping becomes a hurricane. I can’t believe this. They are desperately hoping that it becomes a hurricane. It’s the Democrats’ wet dream that this thing hit New Orleans. So, you know me. My middle name is Solutions. I have some ideas for the Republicans. How to deal with the tropical storm, slash, hurricane hitting New Orleans.

The first thing we do is offer to send 500 bus drivers to New Orleans, paid for by us, to make sure that the buses that were not used by the Democrat mayor during Hurricane Katrina will be used to evacuate people should it become necessary.

The second thing that I think the Republicans ought to do is send bags of money instead of sand. Bags full of money to shore up the levees in New Orleans. This would accomplish many things. A, it would show our compassion. B, we could have Romney’s five sons who CNN last night asked, “What’s it like to be rich as sin,” or whatever. They did. Piers Morgan asked Romney’s sons, (paraphrasing) “What’s it like to be stinking rich?” So we have Romney’s five sons deliver the bags of money to shore up the levees.

Now, this will accomplish much. It will show our compassion, and it will do something else. Once we publicize that we have sent 500 bags of money — well, whatever number of bags, bags filled with money to shore up the levees, what will happen? The poor of New Orleans will storm the levees and steal the bags, thereby putting themselves at risk for the eventual flooding that will happen once they remove the bags of money. And that way the Republicans can get rid of even more Democrats in Louisiana and shore up the state for themselves. How about those two ideas, folks? Am I not thinking or am I thinking?

“Legitimate Rape” Doesn’t Cause Pregnancy

Here is another in our series of videos where Republicans aren’t necessarily racists… Just misogynists. Republican candidate Todd Akin of Missouri sits on CNN and boldly states that in cases of “legitimate rape” that the body will not allow pregnancy to occur. He says “from what I understand from doctors” to qualify the statement (and give it that science-y feel) but the fact is that he’s pulling this right out of his ass. Somehow, the female body can prevent pregnancy if it is raped but is helpless to prevent unwanted pregnancy in all other cases.

This is more made up “science” from Republican politicians. Notice how he speaks with authority becuase he needs this statement to be true. Republicans are laying the cards out on how they feel about women and minorities in this country, lately. Listen to them and you will hear the truth. One of the keys to having women not despise them is if they can convince women (and partisan white males) that real rape doesn’t cause pregnancy then maybe their anti-choice political views start to make sense. I know it is twisted logic but it’s simply what these people are trying to do.

My guess is that Todd Akin just put a winnable Republican House seat into play and women could have a chance to send him back to the primordial ooze he crawled out of this November.

Republicans keep stooping to new lows and the racism becomes more and more blatant as the election arrives. This bumpersticker, sold by Stumpy’s Stickers, is just the latest in an ever-growing library of offensive attacks on the President of the United States by so-called patriots on the right.

If you think this kind of thing is okay to say about the elected leader of the country you supposedly love, then you are another example of how today’s Republicans are racists.

President Obama is not Eligible to be President – Because He’s Black

Sometimes the depth of Republican Racism surprises even me. It’s one thing for Federal Judges to forward racist emails, for various TV personalities to blow their dogwhistles, and for tea party protestors to have their racist signs… But surely Republicans wouldn’t put their racism right out there in the Federal record! Wrong.

Gordon Warren Epperly, America’s newest racist of record, has filed a lawsuit in Alaska to bar President Obama from being on the ballot. His reason? Get this…

Epperly maintains that when the Constituion was written, black and “mulatto” citizens did not have the right to vote or hold office. True. He then says that the civil rights movement only gave these minorities “Civil Rights” but not “Political Rights.” That means that he thinks minorities should be able to vote but they are Constitutionally forbidden to hold public office. Take a few minutes to read the lawsuit and see for yourself.

He also goes back to the birther nonsense but his “Constitutional” argument is a new one… And fantastically racist. Since the Founding Father’s owned slaves and the use of slavery was widely practiced when the Constitution was written does that mean that not having slaves is un-Constitutional? Did President Lincoln “free” the slaves or did he just grant them walking-around-without-chains rights?

This just proves that Alaska is the Texas of the arctic circle and that Republicans are legally documented racists.

The party that claims to be so patriotic that they bleed red, white and blue has one small problem… They hate having a black President far more than they love America.

In 2003, when President G.W. Bush (whom I still have the respect to call by the title his former office deserves) visited my former home town, I was placed in a fenced in cage (“free speech zone”) outside of the auditorium that the President was speaking in just because I opposed the war in Iraq. It was viewed as un-American to ever disagree with (or, even worse, disrespect) the President. I stood in the cage and I held my sign. I disagreed with President Bush but I still respected his office as the leader of my country.

The right-wing of today cannot have such honor. President Obama isn’t like us. He’s different. He’s evil. He’s black. If I had ran an add in a public location like the one above (which is currently posted in the Washington D.C. Metro) about President Bush, I would have been turned down and possibly arrested.

In 2012, respect for the American President is no longer required, the truth is subjective and Republicans are still racist.

I cannot think of anything sexier for a woman than Rush Limbaugh watching her have sex.

This clip isn’t racist. I’ll tell you that now. But it’s here because, in 2012, misogynism and racism go hand-in-hand with the Republican party. Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown law student, testified about contraception and Rush disagrees so it’s time for him to attack. The recent fights over contraception in health insurance programs are now exposing that more and more the Republican party is 100% the party of rich, white dudes. Ronald Reagan’s vision of a “big tent” for the GOP is a dream that is as dead as tight-rolling your jeans.

Hearing Rush say this to his devoted audience of millions with absolutely ZERO complaint from Republicans tells you all that you need to know about the Republican vision for the future of women in America… And that future is just like the 1850’s.

This clip doesn’t prove that Republicans are racist but it does prove that Rush Limbaugh can say anything about women and at least one of them will still have sex with him. Kathryn Elizabeth Rogers… You are a shallow, gold-digging betrayer of your sex and your husband has zero respect for you.

Usually, watching Fox News’ The Five gives me a headache but when the brunette with the giant fish mouth shows up, I’m all in! This time, after fish-face finishes her anti-muslim rant, it is Greg Gutfeld that steps up to really cap off what is already a fairly offensive rant. Gutfield makes his bad joke and then follows up by encouraging genocide. All in all, this is a classy piece that highlights all the fun that can be had by radical fundamentalist Christians with a TV network.

Even though no one uses letter openers anymore, thanks to the invention of e-mail, this clip shows two things; Fox hosts are religious zealots and Republicans are racists.

Eric Bolling is making his case for being the biggest jackass on Fox News. Here he goes again. After a discussion about Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ words yesterday, Bolling snaps off, “Congresswoman, You Saw What Happened To Whitney Houston. Step Away From The Crack Pipe.” Even his co-hosts knew he had just gone to far as is judged by their nervous laughter… But they still laughed.

Maxine Waters did make a partisan and energetic speech in front of supporters that said some antagonistic things about Speaker Boehner and his GOP playmates. This is very common. Just look at the Republican primary that has been boiling over the last few months. People say rhetorically charged things sometimes… But to react with this kind of statement goes beyond the pale and right into my wheelhouse… Good ol’ GOP racism.

Did Bolling use a white person that has died of an alleged drug overdose for his comparison? Nope. He used a black woman and he used crack. Both are racially charged dog whistles and Bolling knows it. Keep reminding everyone that black people are poor, socialist crackheads and that our President (and Maxine Waters) is… ahem … one of them.

At the end of this clip, thanks to the editors at Media Matters, Bolling does use the “I was kidding” defense after the show comes back from commercial. This is always step one in any Republican racist’s defense of a stupid comment and it is an empty and meaningless gesture. You cannot put this genie back in it’s bottle.

Once again, Eric Bolling and his giggling cronies at Fox & Friends are showing that Republicans are racists.
